Looking for a fun and delicious Easter treat? Easter Egg Hot Chocolate Bombs are a creative twist on traditional hot chocolate bombs, perfect for gifts or a cosy Easter treat. Made with chocolate shells, hot chocolate powder, and mini marshmallows, these little delights melt into a rich and creamy hot drink when added to warm milk. Hereβs how to make your own!
What Youβll Need:
- Silicone egg-shaped mould
- 200g chocolate for melting (milk, dark, or white)
- Hot chocolate powder
- Mini marshmallows
- Sprinkles or drizzle (optional for decoration)
How to Make Easter Egg Hot Chocolate Bombs:
1. Melt the Chocolate β Gently melt your chocolate in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring in between until smooth.
2. Coat the Mould β Using a spoon or pastry brush, spread melted chocolate evenly inside the egg-shaped moulds. Make sure to cover the sides well.
3. Set the Shells β Place the mould in the fridge for 10-15 minutes until the chocolate is firm. If needed, add another layer of chocolate to strengthen the shell and chill again.
4. Fill the Eggs β Carefully remove chocolate shells from the moulds. Fill half of them with a spoonful of hot chocolate powder and mini marshmallows.
5. Seal the Eggs β Join two halves of the egg together using melted chocolate. Alternatively, you can use a hot pan to slightly melt one half of the egg before quickly sticking them together.
6. Decorate β Drizzle with melted chocolate, add sprinkles, or get creative with Easter-themed designs!
